Still Not Dead!! Ha ha!

I am amazed that any of our old fans still stop by. Well, when I say "our," I mean Hypatia and myself. We've now lived through two financial sinkholes. This last one really did a number on us, and what was 30+ people has transitioned and changed. Our flagship product, NetGalley, survives, but this site and that are no longer under the same umbrella. Hypatia and I are, for now at least, more or less on our own, and I often can't afford to even check up on her for weeks at a time. I have to admit, I take a certain amount of pride in the fact that a site as complex as this one can run for weeks, or even months, with absolutely no oversite.

I will try to keep it running as smoothly as possible for as long as possible, though, believe me. I mean, I said I was amazed that y'all still come by, but that's not entirely true. I know that the Web, amazingly, still doesn't have anything like it, and I know that many of you find it as useful as I still do.

Now, if you're new here, you might be wondering "Oh, yea? Really? So what exactly do you do here that's just so all-fired amazing?" Simple. We'll help you discover exactly what you'll most enjoy reading for fun. Hypatia, our collaborative filter agent, will learn what you like to read, and point you toward things you might have already thought you'd enjoy, toward things you had no idea you'd enjoy, and even things you were already quite certain you wouldn't enjoy but will discover you actually love.
